Port config issues
These sites answered on their configured HTTP/API port and reported cameras offline, but the cameras streamed fine over RTSP — usually a viewing-only port, a forward pointing at a different device, or an inherited default. Switching them to RTSP only skips the misleading API.

UniFi Protect

Paste the Protect / UniFi OS API key and the HTTPS host/port of the Protect UI (often different from RTSP if only 7447 is forwarded).

Camera logins
RTSP usernames and passwords are stored encrypted and are never sent to this
portal — camera URLs show **** in place of credentials. Cameras
reference a login rather than embedding it, so changing a password here applies
to every camera that uses it, with no URL editing.
